A Letter from our President

Jennifer Norris

Another year of exciting opportunities to network, learn, and grow together as a marketing community in Northeast Ohio. Thank you for your continued support of the Cleveland AMA and for electing me as your Chapter President for 2016-2017. Your Board of Directors and I recently held our Strategic Planning Session where we outline the upcoming year’s goals and programming. There, we committed to a theme of #ALLIN, in part because we’re still celebrating our beloved Cavs – but more specifically, we thought this was a great rally cry that showcases our strong commitment to you and our community. Our team is truly #ALLIN to make this one of the best years yet for our chapter.

In an effort to fulfill this mission, we created a new board position, the VP of our Culture and Community Committee. Kasey Crabtree will serve as the VP in this role and will be working closely with the VP of Membership and the VP of Volunteers to bring a sense of true community to our events and your overall experience. Kasey will also be reaching out to the community for strategic partnerships. If you have any suggestions for how to strengthen our AMA Community, please contact Kasey.

You’re about to see a few more changes too! I’m very proud to announce that the Cleveland Chapter was selected to be a pilot chapter for the NEW AMA Brand! Our Chapter’s Communications Committee is already hard at work on this and we hope to launch some of the new assets by October 2016. Take a minute and watch this video to learn more!

The Cleveland and Akron Chapters recently gathered to host a Volunteer Appreciation night. If you weren’t aware, our chapters are only made possible by the hard work and efforts of amazing volunteers. THANK YOU to everyone that currently volunteers. If you’re interested in finding out more about how you can volunteer, please contact Eric Barnett our VP of volunteers to discuss or click HERE to apply.

Throughout the year, we’ll be offering member and non-member events. We hope you’re taking advantage of these and I hope to see all of you at the Mix@6 event at the Corner Alley Uptown on September 29th. Whether you’re new to networking or a pro, the Mix@6 events are a great way to get to know your Board of Directors and local marketers. I personally have made many valuable connections at these events! Registration details are below.

If there is anything I can do to improve your AMA experience or if you’d like to learn more about becoming an AMA member, please contact me! The Board of Directors and I are here for you.
