Social Media Strategist

Rosenberg Advertising is seeking a Social Media Strategist with strong writing skills. This person will work to cultivate social communities, think through big-picture goals, develop detailed campaigns, draft social editorial calendars, schedule posts and respond to engaged users on a day-to-day basis. Content creation, social listening, platform management, and reporting are all important parts of this job. Additionally, this person will plan, manage, and report on paid social campaigns. Willingness to learn new skills and technologies as they evolve is a must.


  • Immerse yourself in the stories and brand standards of our clients
  • Perform competitor research and make recommendations on best practices
  • Brainstorm, develop and execute social media strategies for a variety of clients in both the BtoB and BtoC space
  • Meet with clients and communicate plans and ideas confidently and articulately
  • Independently research and write descriptive, persuasive and informative content aligned with the voice, personality and goals of our clients
  • Analyze results, optimize strategies, and provide reports on a regular basis
  • Communicate effectively in person as well as through digital means
  • Function as an expert and play a critical role on a 4-person digital team
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest and greatest social tools and tactics and incorporate them into ongoing client strategies
  • Collaborate with other agency members on a variety of marketing efforts for clients in many different industries
  • Independently plan, manage, and report on paid social campaigns


  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study
  • 2+ years experience working as a position similar to this one
  • Experienced with utilizing social tactics to accomplish business goals on the major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, & Twitter)
  • Knowledge of social scheduling & management tools like Sprout Social and Buffer (or eager to learn)
  • Comfortable working in WordPress
  • Ability to excel when working autonomously and in a tight-knit, collaborative environment
  • Possess a keen attention to detail, strong organization and prioritization skills, and are able to meet regular deadlines
  • Willing and excited to continually learn more about social tactics, tools and techniques
  • Desire and ability to support imagery creation, such as Instagram stories
