The John Chambers College of Business & Economics at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a non-tenure track teaching assistant professor of marketing position in the marketing department beginning in August 2020 depending on the chosen candidate’s availability.In terms of credentials, a masters degree with significant business experience or a PhD is preferred.
This position is primarily a non-tenure track teaching position, with no research component. Candidates are expected to embrace a teaching philosophy grounded in experiential learning initiatives. The candidate is expected to effectively teach marketing courses (in both person and online formats) at the undergraduate level and work with colleagues to support and enhance our innovative and engaging program culture, and rapid growth. Service duties include supporting current faculty with developing program offerings, curriculum development and support, recruitment, student retention, student placement activities, and industry outreach. The expected teaching load for this position is 12 credits per semester. Teaching professors are voting members of the West Virginia University Faculty Senate and Faculty Assembly.
