Jennifer ScofieldOn September 21st, we will discuss best practices for developing and deploying stories that resonate with audiences and move them to join nonprofit initiatives. Jennifer Scofield, CEO of the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland, will lead this SIG, “How to Use Storytelling & Video to Inspire Nonprofit Activism.”

Her agency manages 82 hunger centers across Cuyahoga County which serves 45,000 families a month and 4.5 million meals per year. The Hunger Network relies heavily on donations and hundreds of volunteers who help staff each of the centers. To inspire activism, Jennifer knows the importance of telling great stories about the incredible work being done. So “storytelling” is a key part of the Hunger Center’s communication strategy. In the nonprofit sphere, people really want to experience stories, anecdotes and personal accounts about the nonprofit. The good news is that because of the web, e-mail, social media, YouTube, and digital technology, storytelling is something every nonprofit can do—and do well.

Don’t miss this important look on telling your story for measurable results.
