Richard Price

Richard Price originally joined the AMA in 2008. He holds a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering and Management from McMaster’s University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and a MBA in Marketing and International Management from Case Western Reserve University. Richard works as a Sr. Business Analyst Sales & Pricing at Transtar Industries, a global leader in transmission and drivetrain-related solutions. His broad technical background helps him to discern how his company can provide client solutions while communicating with his sales staff and reaching new customers.

Richard is the AMA Special Interest Group (SIG) Director for 2015. He coordinates a monthly program that invites guest presenters to speak on a range of current marketing topics. Since the events start at 8:00 a.m., Richard tries to give participants an enjoyable experience in a relaxed environment where people from different business backgrounds all bring unique perspectives. Richard says that the keys to a great presentation are an energetic moderator and material that participants can use immediately. The events are specifically planned to be informative, interactive, and entertaining. Once you get people actively involved you get a great deal of different perspectives and create food for thought.

The best parts of Richard’s AMA experience are the camaraderie of the group members and helping people get more out of their involvement.

Although originally a Canuck, Richard gladly moved south of the border. He met his wife while volunteering in a program teaching English as a second language overseas. His wife hails from Cleveland and they have been happily married for 16 years. They have two children.
