What is your position within the AMA?
What types of activities are you in charge of?
In my role as Secretary, I am required to attend each Board Meeting and keep the meeting minutes. I also submit the minutes to the AMA national headquarters. I help out other board members and volunteers as needed.
Who are you?
I am currently the Marketing Project Manager at Invacare Corporation. I run the day-to-day
operations for the Marketing Communications Department for two of the company’s largest
divisions, Home Medical Equipment and Continuing Care. I have been with Invacare for 7 years. The department is currently working on all our marketing plans for 2016 as well as our National Sales and Training meeting that will take place at the end of January. We are very busy at this time. I have a B.A. from Kent State University.
Why did you join the AMA?
I joined the AMA in 2009 so I could gain more exposure to local marketers as well as in-person training. I have been a member ever since, and it has been a valuable experience, one that I would highly recommend to other marketers in the Cleveland area.
What do you love about volunteering?
The people. I enjoy being on the Board of Directors. The board members have become great friends of mine. If I need advice on a local photographer or printer for work, they have the answer. If I want to find out about the newest restaurant in Cleveland, I ask them first. They are a great resource both personally and professionally.
What are your hobbies?
Reading, Traveling, hanging out with my husband, Chris, and our two crazy dogs, Pacer and Tiny. On-line shopping-can that be considered a hobby?
What are three interesting facts about you?
1.) I live in the house I grew up in.
2.) I am the youngest in a family of five kids.
3.) I hiked the Inca Trail. Even though it was only a one day hike, it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.
What are your career and/or personal ambitions?
A personal ambition is to see all 7 wonders of the world. I have three down, and four to go!
