AMA NEO Member of the Month: David Walker

Name: David Walker
Title / Role: VP of Sales
Company: FORM

Why did you join the AMA?
The AMA helps me stay on the leading edge of what’s happening in the marketing world. Not just in Northeast Ohio, but on a global stage. They offer excellent web content, educational opportunities, networking and social events, white papers, webinars and more. Technology and marketing methodologies shift so fast today. The AMA enables me to keep pace and be informed.

How do you engage with the AMA to get the most from your membership? Or favorite aspect of being a member of the AMA?
My favorite way to engage with the AMA is networking events. The opportunity to interact with my peers helps keep my finger on the pulse. Members are eager and willing to share and exchange ideas. There’s a great sense of camaraderie at the various functions. I always walk away with an idea or two. I’m also fortunate to be the facilitator of an AMA Nonprofit SIG. I enjoy this informal breakfast meeting setting where you can sip coffee and talk openly.

Are there any special work projects or initiatives you are working on or recently completed that you’d like to share with the AMA membership?
FORM works exclusively with nonprofits and arts & cultural institutions developing websites and providing digital marketing support. Many of our clients provide vital services like helping house and feed the poor; caring for those with mental illness; or assuring children and young adults in the inner-city receive a quality education. When FORM launched the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s new website, within one year, online donations increased 11X. Kick-It, a program of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), is a national volunteer-driven effort focused solely on raising money for childhood cancer research. Since we launched their website, Kick-It raised over $5 million dollars. Whenever we can help groups like these achieve their goals, it’s special.
